The next day, what was first on our agenda? Brunch of course!
We had an extremely yummy meal at the Famous Toastery.
Afterwards, we headed to Beads, Inc., which was pretty much my favorite part of the whole trip.
After you’ve chosen your beads and such you find a seat at one of the tables, a staff member helps you get started and then you get to work!
And here was my final product…
Donned with our new jewels we moved on to the next part of our day…Treehouse Vineyards!
Treehouse Vineyards is located about 45 minutes outside of Charlotte in Monroe, NC. It was so funny…we were driving in a very residential area and then all of a sudden, there it was. Like a hidden wine utopia. They even have actual treehouses that you can rent out to hang out in or even stay in!
We had signed up for the tasting, where the staff guided us through a few of the vineyard’s popular wines. The vineyard is family owned and the wines are all named after someone or some event in the family’s life.
We even had wine slushies!
A few wines were nice, but overall I don’t think any of us were huge fans of any of them. They were all very sweet. But it was a fun experience none the less.
Afterwards we enjoyed a bottle of wine while enjoying the grounds.
On our way back we stopped at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar for dinner.
Amazing truffle parmesan fries…everything is better with truffles!
And my build-your-own-burger with pimento cheese, caramelized onions and BBQ sauce. Yum!
And that is the conclusion of our great trip to Charlotte! A fun girls trip filled with fun, food and friends.
